Medoc is the only 300 day performance
tested Hannoverian stallion standing in the UK today. He was originally selected
by the German commission to stand at the state stud in Celle. Being bred from
Germany’s finest bloodlines, including the famous Gotthard and Absatz. His sire,
MAAT I has produced over 160 well known dressage horses and Germany's only regret
is that they have no other son of MAAT I to stand at stud.
Hence their reluctance to sell Medoc to England. Medoc combines excellent
conformation, elastic paces, and
outstanding jumping ability with a wonderful temperament - all of which he
passes on to his progeny.

Performance
Medoc has gone from Novice to Advanced Medium level dressage in the last two
years, being a consistent winner of Medium classes in 2001. Previously he was a
Grade B showjumper, jumping A+B courses with ease.
This combined with his busy stud career covering 35 mares in the 2001 season
Grading History
As a Hannoverian Verband graded stallion, Medoc was automatically accepted into
the British Hanoverian Horse Society stud book upon arrival in the UK. He has
also been successfully graded with the BWBS and Approved with the AES and his
outstanding performance test resulted in him being one of only a limited number
of fully graded Hanoverian stallions to be accepted by parade into the SHB(GB)
stud book. He is one of only two British-based none Danish-graded stallions to
be accepted as sires of fully registered and branded progeny by the Danish
Warmblood Society. Medoc is therefore probably the most highly graded stallion
at stud in the UK today.
