Tigre

Tigre is a stunning example of the Lusitano breed, combining  superior athleticism with an incredible work ethic and exemplary temperament. He has an exceptional piaffe and passage, and equally spectacular extension. He possesses the  presence and brio associated with top flight performance stallions, combined with a laid back temperament which allows him to be regularly handled by novice handlers.

Originating from sought after Coimbra lines, Tigre is a fine son of Eleito, Champion of Champions at Golega  1994, and Filoxera, foundation mare for the Coudelaria Bessa de Carvalho stud in Portugal.  He stands at 16hh and has been graded and fully approved for breeding with the APSL and the Lusitano Breed Society of Great Britain.

Performance

Having been lightly competed to date, Tigre has enjoyed success in both showing and dressage. At the 2009 Lusitano Breed Show he won a huge parade class judged by Lady Sylvia Loch and achieved 2nd place in the Ridden Stallion class of the same year. He has scored 1st or 2nd in every dressage competition that he's entered. He will be out competing in earnest this season with Grand Prix dressage rider Daniel Watson.
